yoga with Joy
my teaching style
grounding. nurturing. welcoming.
Through my classes, I hope to encourage you to find new ways to connect to yourself. By giving yourself permission to unwind and unravel and to listen to your body through meditation, breath work and mindful yoga flows which build to leave you feeling strong, energised, nourished and restored.
I have been practising yoga for over 20 years and teaching for 15, trained in pre and postnatal yoga.
vinyasa flow yoga
Slow mindful flows allowing you to connect back to self. Vinyasa flow classes offer flowing sequences connecting postures with breath. Classes can both strengthen and release parts of the body, and can either build in intensity or flow gradually depending on the intention. Classes always finish with a wind down sequence and a deep restorative rest. Suitable for all levels.
“Your sessions are so helpful, relieving my stress and helping me to sleep better. Nurturing for all the senses each session is a great balance of yoga, meditation and warmth. So grateful to have found this restorative space surrounded by friendship”
- Sarah
prenatal yoga
Prenatal yoga is a wonderful way to build your strength physically, mentally and emotionally. It can also help build a connection and bond with your body and baby. Classes include gentle flowing yoga sequences and guided breath work to allow you to unwind, release and relax, helping you build trust and confidence to take you through pregnancy, labour and beyond.
“I'm so glad I found Joy and her prenatal yoga sessions. I leave feeling relaxed, grounded and more comfortable. She has a lovely positive energy and is sensitive to individual needs.”

postnatal yoga
Post natal yoga can be a wonderful place to connect and come back to your body at your own pace. Gentle nurturing yoga flows can ease aches and pains. Strengthening and supportive sequences help build stability and rebuild awareness. Restorative sequences can calm and soothe the body and mind. Classes will leave you feeling restored and re-energised.
“You are a very kind, approachable, attentive and diligent instructor. I find that the flows or postures you choose seem to always target exactly what I need. They help strengthen parts of my body whilst releasing a lot of tension. You always manage to pay attention to everyone in the class ensuring everyone gets the most out of each posture, something that I really appreciate.”

half day retreats
melt. emerge. awaken. bloom. ground. Seasonal half day sessions take place every two months, around spring and autumn equinox, summer and winter solstice and a few in between. These 2 and a half hour sessions held at my garden studio, will allow you to fully immerse yourself in the practice. To ground, anchor and nourish. To reawaken, energise and bloom. We will explore mindful movement and yoga flows, pranayama, meditation, journalling and melt fully into restorative yoga and yoga nidra. Seasonal snacks and drinks are served. Please see class schedule page for upcoming dates.
Yoga with you has immensely improved my well-being, the one hour classes give me a much needed re-focus and re-balance in the week and I have found that I am less anxious and stressed the following days as a result. Thank you so much.”
